Is it possible to implement resuming for download? I've a poor dialup connection and it's pretty impossible to download a samplepack for example, and download a separate mp3 file isn't a very simple thing neither. I know, it's generally my problem, but it takes hours to browse the site and download a few files. A simple resuming here would be better than nothing.
+ a suggestion: support for FLAC packed files. Using lossy files cause transcoding when you render your song into another lossy (i.e. mp3 => song => mp3), whereas FLAC is lossless (also it's free and open source). http://flac.sourceforge.net
I have lightning fast cable and downloading whole sample packs takes awhile. I suggest you do what I did... stop paying your phone bill and get high speed through cable, you can always get vonage phone or a free cell at radio shack (who usually overcharge for everything). Or less drastically you might consider downloading one at a time or ask the owner to email you the zipped files. Good luck either way, I have only had high speed for a month or two and I remember the slow dial up service.... cold sweats....
Thanks for the advice, but I live in deep Russia, and the cable is still quite expensive to me, something like 0.1 USD per Megabyte. So, looks like I have to wait when those Moscow's guys come here and put out own channels with the unlimitted traffic for 25$ per month.
I don't really understand... Using Mozilla Firefox I can "puase" downloads as longas I want so resuming IS possible. Perhaps you should try to download (*gulp*) firefox and try that to surf with. In the download manager, when something is downloading, just hit pauze and it'll pauze.
