    freesound as an instrument

Although it's not the end of the world, one of the few minor niggles I have with freesound is that when you select 'loop' in the interface it doesnt quite loop correctly. Why is this?

If the sample did loop correctly then it wouldn't take much more for freesound to be an actual instrument. Like a simple, web-based, open source loop sequencer, with a massive online library of sounds built in.

Im thinking something like multiple 'favourites' pages that go along with your profile, each acting as a patch, set, composition, song or whatever. You can assign samples to these patches by following an 'add to favourites' link. The abilitity to have a favourites page, independant from your sounds, and those that you have downloaded, would in itself be a powerful feature.

For off-line use you could have a 'download favourites' option.

you can't make perfect loops with flash, that's the problem.
other than that, well, I *am* thinking about things like this smile
