3 days and the upload is still not showing.t I used file zilla and I described the file
and tagged it but still nothing shows on the" your data" page
Installed firefox and enabled java and the applet won't work
either.

I'm trying to upload 3 files. I can get to the sub-sub directory off my Desktop where the files are located, but no file names at all show up there, so there is nothing I can upload.

What's up? (Pun intended.)

I was able to successfully upload a file last week, but can't now...I believe I'm doing it the right way, and the same as before, but something won't let me see the specific files on my side of the upload applet, nor allow me to upload any files to the right-hand window of the applet ("your side".

Please help!

Still can't get applet running on
a new gateway laptop, 64 bit windows 7,
nor my ancient celeron desktop running windows xp pro.
But my first sample sound is up.
I didn't know what to tag it really.
It's gurgling water with the sound of a pickup going
by.

Once you describe and tag your sample(s), they then have to get approved by a moderator (to check if it is illegal, broken, etc.) which is why your sample didn't show up right away. As for the applet, it seems to be working for me (Safari, OS X) so I can't help with that.
As far as tags, try to imagine what search terms you might use if you wanted to come across the sound you are tagging and use those. For a description, give any useful information: where it was recorded, mics/recorder/software used, perhaps the story how the sound came about, or anything else that might seem helpful for those who might come across your sound.

i forgot I had two accounts set up,
so I'll disable the other account.
The file uploaded good.
I did some more this morning,it's
pretty enjoyable actually.
I have been alert to sounds more now.
