I dare you to make music that brings up cosmic passion emotions...

My little bloggish thread should make clear what I'm asking for.. Sounds that stir-up deep emotions..
that is if you can get through a couple of my posts without freaking out...

    __________________________

The very most ultimate sound I ever heard, was the young lass Bigfoot giggling at my intellectual puniness after she left me paralysed in the bush.. I listened to her fading footsteps, then noticed the icy dew settling on me.. I still couldn't move.. so I telepathed to the little princess "Princess, would you kindly return, to cover me with my blankets.. I'm wet and cold.. I don't like wet and cold.."
I heard her pause in her walking away.. She made an exotic lengthy multiple "coo-sound", then exited.. Her coo-sounds stopped the rain from falling on me, and left me warm and comfy..

As I lay there totally paralysed, it gave me the opportunity to replay her coo sound over and over for three hours.. but I couldn't find even one tiny bit of the coo's tones in all my memories of sounds I heard in humanity and in nature... Sadly, I forgot the sounds she made by the next morning, or I wouldn't need to wear a parka in winter... Took me eigh excruciating hours to break out of the Bigfoot induced paralysis.. Now I know why the ancients who were paralysed by bigfoots and Yetti's flatly refused to talk about it.. They probably messed in their togas...

I posted this here, in hopes someone has even a tiny portion of even one princess's tones, which might strike a deep memory of her majesty's "warm & dry coo"...

    Hello Cosmicbrat,

Please note that we already have a dare running at the moment. Dare 9, here:
    http://www.freesound.org/forum/dare-the-community/17659/

Also, could be just me, but your text above does not make a lot of sense to me...

I don't mean to be rude, but I need to point out that you have been a user for less than 12 hours and your first post into Freesound was to post a "dare" - This is a bit of lack of etiquette. You should spend a bit of time at Freesound to understand what it is all about before you start asking people to spend time to create any work for a dare.

Please don't take me comments in a negative way. I am trying to run the dares in a organized way.
I think these dares are more enjoyable for all if they are thought through and maintained properly (so we have clear rules and a deadline, for example).
If anyone jumps in a throws a dare, things can get out of control very quickly, and we certainly should not have multiple dares running at once as it will just confuse potential participants.

If you are serious about the dare, please PM me and we will talk about this.

    Thanks

    hmmmm..... erm..... I forgot...

I have a suggestion on this matter: why not create another sub-forum with unofficial dares? Those could be member-initiated dares where users like us could post, and if anyone is willing to partake, they could do so. Just a thought. I actually liked the dare, and although this one has no stipulations, if you do create another unofficial dares sub-forum, you could tell all dare-askers to conform to those certain rules. Again, just a thought, but i do like this dare. (And, lol, what's up with part 2 of dare-9? I'll have to wait a long time to start with part 2. I guess patience is a dare in itself).

Well, if you like the dare take it!

The main danger with open dares, especially if posted from someone who has no presence in these forums, is that it often happens that people post a dare and then disapear.
You go through the trouble of creating a piece and posting a link here and the person who posted the dare does not even bother to show up and post "well done!"
That is what i am trying to avoid here.

Also having several dares at the same time may be counterproductive: you could end up with two people entering each dare. LOL.

As for the 'official' dare, people can upload sounds up to the 10th jan.
It is like on the previous dare when we had to wait until we collected 10 sounds of the day.
I guess many people are away with relatives at the moment. I have some sounds to upload, but i too am away at the moment.
From the 11th jan we can start working on our dare entries.

i absolutely do understan what you say, but i see it as an opportunity. Even if the person doesn't come back and say thank you or do anything with the file at all, it'll still have forced me to challenge my own knowledgee of the field. For that, instead of the person thanking me, i'd thank the person instead. But i know not everyone works the way i do. I hope you won't mind, but i just wish to try out this dare (without meaning to encourage further such unofficial dares).

Oops.. Seems I dropped into a closed forum..

Heck! the link was in the Fedora install.. I figured it would be open-minded..?

What's so hard to fathom about my request..? Let's take "dare" off it, and call it a request.. Sorry for the implied invasion.. I thought this was a friendly place.. when I read "free content" in a Linux install.. Now I know better...

To some a tree is furniture.. Some people love and hug trees... To some a tree is food/fruit... To others it's just firewood... You're right.. I should have consulted your private dictionary on "dare" before I posted.. My bad!..
Link me to your formal definition of "dare"...

What's so difficult to grasp about my request..? A big smelly monkey touched my neck, which instantly paralyzed me.. Then it scanned my memories so hard that my head heated up a lot.. I asked if I could look inside its head, and got permission, and found 14 layers of science (1400 untapped technologies) in their collective, and made a mental copy of them, and offered them to humanity for free, but all I got was flack and insults from mindless people...

..As the stinky little Sasquatch teen was leaving me, I telepathically requested that she "return to cover me with my blankets, given that what she did to me made it so I couldn't move a muscle, and I was wet and cold.. She paused about 35 feet away, and made an exquisite sequence of coo tones, which left me with a "viable shield from the cold and wet.. which I foolishly broke in half an hour, from trying to analyse it for future use... I can't recall a single tone in her multi-tone "magic" coo.. Maybe if I heard a tone similar to one of the tones she made, maybe I could re-track that memory, and learn it, and maybe teach it to humanity..?

Is that clearer..? or is this not the type of topic your project would be interested in..?
All I ever get from trying to communicate with humans about new stuff, is flack, and crap, for people's conditioning headaches, from me pushing them into processing new thought, because thinking generally causes most people headaches.. I'm hoping this forum is different...

    ___________________________

I'm quite different from all of you, when it comes to thought processing.. Decades ago a mind-mentor taught me all about "punching the envelope".. and I evolved it to "penetrating the envelope".. Now weird new stuff just leak-in, when I deep-think, from the three holes I made into the three layers of envelope I entered...

The extreme data I find, most people label "delusional" from their delusion, but it's really just more reality" than most of this human Species can handle.. To most people in humanity, everything too new to grasp is considered to be delusional, by mindless non-thinkers... If you folks can handle newness, then just ask me to leave this forum, and I will in a NY-second......

I think i was actually polite in my remarks. I do recall asking you to PM me so we could have a civilized and private conversation about this. Instead you choose to dish the dirt in public and start insulting people, not just myself but even being generous enough to extend your insults to others in the forums as well.

Now, this is a style of conversation i do not like and i will not engage in.
Pardon my saying, but i do think you are coming in here with a arrogant attitude. You must feel that you are somehow enlightened and are doing us all a favour by sprinkling us with a droplet of your magnificent knowledge.
Please forgive if i do not drop to my knees in adoration... grin

This IS an open forum: You are hereby free to carry on with your dare. This might actually be fun to watch.
I do not intend to interfere again. Have fun.

Cosmicbrat, your problem is that you are expecting people to reciprocate. Stop expecting and the world will be a much better place for you and, perhaps, many around you.
Simply put, do not expect people to share your enthusiasm, but if you feel you are on to something, by all means, continue exploring it. I am still up for the dare, but I'd really appreciate far fewer angry posts.

Those who would "bow to me", bow if they must bow to all those better than them, but don't be surprised if it makes me suddenly lose my cookies on the spot, and bolt, and run.. The normal living antics of most people makes me feel ill at best...

This trying to determine that "big stinky monkey's weather-shield coo sequence" might be a bad idea, at this time, on this planet, given the fact that general humanity is devolving mentally at a rapid rate, same as fast as the planet is dying from our messes.. but it would be worth determining that sound sequence, learning how it works, applying it to daily life, and maybe even teaching it to others.. whether you like me or not.. No one likes me, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to and trying to assist humanity out of its hell...

Please, add to this thread, recordings of the world's strongest freest wisest human-female free-flow coo-sounds... Maybe there will be a tone or two in their sounds, that was in the monkey's heat-shield song..?

Imagine going outdoors in the cold rain, and all you need do is sing a little ditty, and suddenly the rain isn't falling on you, and you are warm and comfy...

I doubt they use sound just to stay dry and warm.. I suspect they have tunes that do even more.. I'm thinking it would be real sweet to come up with a simple tone-sequence ("rift") that would burst an attacking enemy's organs, or melt their brains into a steamy soup...

I'm done here, till members add a few interesting applicable tones...
