Ok, you don't really see me. It's in Beaujolais region, France, recording the "extra birds" of my "surround set river" I uploaded here some month ago.

I know that most of you guys may critisize the way I work.

I changed it since this picture...

But it's definitively what I look like when I record sound...

Sorry for my English, hopefully, as my ability to record sounds, it will improve !

HOWDEE. First post! I am excited to find you folks!

Hi, name is Andrew. I live in Columbus, Ohio, and am always looking for someone to collaborate with. I've been a recording nerd for a LONG time, at least 30 years. Over the years, I've managed to have a great deal of fun recording noises and stuff. I still do very regularly, and have been keeping my own blog about it (noisefloor.org) Of course, it gets no traffic to speak of, but there are pictures of my stuff and clips of noises and even some music I've recorded, too. A co-worker gave me a link to this place, and I am glad of that. I actually don't have a working camera at the moment. I'll get one soon.

I am looking forward to getting to know some of you (no offense, but 400 thousand plus of you is a little too many to get to know, anyhow!)

Just a few days ago, I stuck a contact mic on a guy wire for a radio tower, and got some cool noises. It is the most recent post on my blog, in fact.

    Thanks for listening!
    Andrew

    Heya, Scott.

Yes, it is a wonderful mic. I love it. Even if it is XY. I've used it for man-on-the street interviews, night-clubs, and of course, natural sounds too. It's small, stereo, battery operated - a great quality for the value.

Thanks for the reply. You know, I saw your pictures, and I thought, "Hey, that could be me." Pointing a mic at anything that makes noise. It's great to find you folks, and also fun to be able to share noises with each other.

    Cheers, mate.

    Im Mike

The guy on the left. I was a junglist for 8 years in United States. Retired from that now with kids.

Music production is pretty much a glorified hobby and helps keep me sane. lol.
