    sound designer question

I would like to dialogue with a sound designer who can help me create a soundscape of nature sounds responding melodically to a song and its melody. One song I wish to create a river/babbleing brook sample to blend with a sung vocal... to appear a the river is singing. Pitch tips? Orchestration ideas? i have chaotic demos at www.soundcloud.com/organicsymphonyorchestra , I wish to simplify the nature aural ambience. Used sonar 8.

Listen for her song while you are traveling. And sing along!

I would play with some automated filter or flanger or chorus on it, to keep the flow going, and have singing (exposing freq ranges and tonalities). No pitch modification.

Many nature sounds has also their own pitch value like spoken word, machines etc. You must find flowing water in the key of your song. Pitch shifting is usable in range of -2 to +2 semitones - then it descructs sound quality or tone/speed (pitch bender)

You should try a vocoder for this.

    Vocoder freeware:

As inputs to the Vocoder, let the vocal be the modulator and the river be the carrier.
