Hey guys,

Quickly!! We need a birthday present for Xavier Serra, the director of the MTG, the group that created (and supports) Freesound!!
Freesound is as much Xavier's brainchild as it is mine (even more so Xaviers!), so we need to get something cool up before Friday (tomorrow).
Xavier turned 50, so perhaps everyone who reads this could just record: "Happy 50th birthday Xavier" in your native tongue?

mmm.... reminding someone half of life is gone in all possible languages is a good idea? I would go mad if you did this to me on my 50th, a few months ago

I just read an email by Bram in which he included the link to this forum thread and to all the recordings you made for my 50th anniversary. This is really a big surprise for me and very impressive. In fact it is the most original birthday present I have ever got. So thank-you very much!!!

I am really happy with the Freesound community and that things like this can happen in it. it is amazing what you all have built from our initial idea. I cannot keep up with all of you, but I can tell you that Freesound is the project that I have started that I am most proud of.
