Hi everybody.
I joined the freesound community a couple of days ago, and I have uploaded some sounds to the web. They havent been accepted yet, so I was wondering, do you guys know how long it takes to the sounds to be accepted or rejected in a normal scale of time?
Thank you in advance for any answer you can give me. Please feel free to check my sounds when they are accepted, I will be pleased when any of them can suit your needs.
Regards.
In theory It could take weeks. It all depends on the current work-load of the moderators.
Fear not though, my sounds usually get moderated within 2-3 days or so...(usually)
Check this thread for an explanation from the Freesound team:

Hope this helped
It depends. One time I wait some hours, another time I wait some days.
I finally got the moderation, after several days. But thank you so much for your consideration in replying my message, it's good to know you can count with some people to help you solve your doubts.
Greetings to you all.

No problem mate, thats what the community is here for
Dear users
Moderation is a bit slow at the moment (mods are volunteers and most of them seem to be quite busy at the moment).
We also seem to have had quite a lot of uploads - which is good - but means the moderation queue is quite big at the moment.
Finally, I also want to point out that the queue is a bit random... SAmples are sorted by uploader. I can see which users have uploaded samples that need to be moderated. Assigning those samples to my moderation queue assigns ALL samples from that user to me - If he uploaded 100 samples, it is going to take me a while...
But more than that, in the general moderation queue I cannot see when the samples were uploaded. So I could be picking a user with 10 samples uploaded yesterday, when there is another user that uploaded also 10 samples 1 week ago. Moderators have no way of knowing that, at the moment.
Thank you for your patience.
It's ok, I can understand that, for sure. I was new by the time I posted my first sounds, so I just wanted to be sure about how does that work. Now I get the point, and it's quite clear that the moderation system is as efficient as it can be.
Thank you all for your time. Greetings.
Great. Thanks.
In any case, it is good to mention how it works now and then, as new people join in all the time.
In addition: we sometimes experience a slow server, which slows down the moderation process. Please be patient with us
We are very patient. Cheers guys, youre doing a great job considering its unpaid... Love you!
It would be an interesting feature to observe the realtime flow of incoming sounds (public queue and moderation). Something similar like the Bandcamp made for sales. They are hypnotized (-;
