I have been a member for a while but only recently looked deep into this site. Now... I love it! I uploaded my own sounds days ago and was excited about being a sound adding kind of guy. My question is... Is this site still active? If so... how long before a sound is approved? I check everyday and my poor first sounds just sit there waiting. I hope the site is still a go and that this is not a normal waiting period. Thanks and stay safe.
Sometimes it just takes very long for moderators to "verify" your sounds. I'm waiting about a week now for 2 sounds to get through the moderatos. Patience
Thank you very much for your response. I was afraid to upload more sounds because I thought perhaps the site was not accepting any. I appreciate it greatly. Stay safe!
this is kind of off topic(Well it kind of doesn't matter if its off topic since your question has already been answered). I have listened to about all of your sounds/vocals and I love your voice(So low, strong, and fearful) but since you are kind of new to making vocals do you care if I give you a tip to make them better?
I very much appreciate any constructive criticism. And thank you for your kind words. I will check the links out ASAP.
Lol, glad to hear that you noticed them and I didn't want to boss you around right like that at least you don't mind the criticism.
I haven't been making vocals/ that long and I haven't made as many either but I have learn some tricks:
1.For one, in some of your recordings I catch you either end the recording to soon(Very few are like this) or they have the sound of you ending the recording. Don't end the recording to soon so you will be easily be able to cut out that unwanted clicking sound.
2. Try to be in complete silence, I have trouble with this to. If you are using a mic from your computer/laptop try to make sure there is no unwanted humming or anything else in the background.
3. Don't start talking as soon as you start the recording, if you do this you may be at risk at cutting off the beginning of your vocal, try playing the recording for a few seconds so you can get ready and then start your vocal.
I hope these tips are helpful and I love your voice so much do you mind maybe being a voice actor in the future on some videos(Not sure which ones yet) or I may also could get you a job as voice acting for a friend of mine on YouTube(He is always looking for new voice actors). I hope you don't mind me asking and I will be awaiting your reply.
P.S What sound program do you use?
Wow! Your kind words humble me greatly and I appreciate them. Thank you.
I will take your advice as it is solid. You are 100% right about the errors you outlined.
I would love to do voiceover for you or your friends. As I said..... it is new and I am learning but I am willing to do retakes until we get it right.
I watched one of your videos and it was a great review. I will watch the others now.
Thanks again and never hesitate to reach out with advice, questions or anything.
Well glad to help I will ask my friend since he just posted in a the description of one of his videos that he needs more recruits. And actually that isn't me in that review, most likely: Check out the ReconBrixCustom Entry and my brother introduces me to the camera(well my voice to the camera). I'm glad you liked my criticism and I hope you can become a far better voice actor than I hope to be.
P.S You forgot answer my question: What sound editor program do you use
Lol.......old age. I use ""sound Booth" on a Mac
Lol, oh well no matter how old you are it doesn't make a difference of how great your voice is, I'll contact him shortly as soon as I get some free time away from my teachers, lol(I'm at school)
Do you have Skype, if so tell me your Skype name through Private chat
