What VST plays .syx files? i know its a Native Instruments VST but which one?
.syx is not for a specific VST.
It should be some sort of SysEx file.
SysEx = System Exclusive messages...they're a type of MIDI message used (usually) to deal with patch parameter data.
For example, a SysEx dump from one synth to another of the same synth would transfer info about the patches from the one performing the dump. You can often do this from a synth to a computer too, in order to edit patches/parameters on a computer program.
SO...I'm guessing that parameters on a VST can also be saved as SysEx data, than loaded into a different VST that supports SysEx, so that the parameter data can be shared between them (without a weird propietary extension required for each VST preset type!).
Does that make any sense?
yeah it does..sorta..lol..i'll figure it out ..thanks tho
er, the "source forge project" by cute hexter plays "syx" from "roland dx" ...it works, look self...cya
