Hi there (Bonjour)
I need some native french speakers to recite the song Frere Jacques.
I am preparing an orchestral composition that is based around the traditional french song and would love to decorate it with the song being spoken in French.
Spoken, not sung please
Just the first verse:
Frère Jacques, frère Jacques,
Dormez-vous? Dormez-vous?
Sonnez les matines! Sonnez les matines!
Din, dan, don. Din, dan, don.
Recorded with gaps at end of each line please.
Have fun!

Hi there Lioran
Yes, I need it spoken instead of the usual singing, if that is OK?
I intend to use it within a musical context which would clash if the lyrics are sung in any particular key.
I am not sure what key the composition is to be in yet.
So it can be read in a "musically" spoken way but not following the musical notation or in a recognisable pitch.
Imagine you are teaching the french words to an English child and don't want to confuse the issue with pitched notes!
Thanks for your interest.
Need anything done in return?
I'll credit you on the final composition, of course.
