Kind of like what you might hear in deeper bass music with a lot of sub bass (skream, v.i.v.e.k., benga, not that commercial brostep stuff). All the kick drums i've used end up sticking out in the mix too much, or they disappear completely. Help?
Try getting rid of some of the high frequencies on your drum hit. Take a little off the mid and slowly turn up the low end until you like what you hear. Simple, but it usually works for me.
Hope this helps.

Post youtube links, that may help me tell you how to do it.

I think the last link represents what I'm looking for the most, but all of these seem to be good examples.
Generally speaking, it is difficult to make a sound that will fit completely well in the whole track when used as is. In the end, during the mixing part, you have to remove individual frequencies, and that's when you make sure that your drum fits well with the subs. I'm not sure what your library has, but try to find a kickdrum that has fewer highs, fewer deep lows, but more around the mids. The first link sounded like it had some low mids. Same seems to be the case for the last link. I'll try to make a drum that sounds like that and upload it in a few. Will post the link here once it's uploaded.
