Re: http://gooplusplus.com
I'm building a new compact meta/multi search site. Most of the selection buttons link directly to a search results page. Some, however, (Baidu, Clusty, Exalead, ixQuick) activate a small submenu of category choices.
Because the submenu is small, it is sometimes not noticed by users who may then assume their click did not work.
I think that a simple onClick "event sound" notification of some sort would make it more obvious that there is a submenu.
Is a .wav sound the simplest and most compatible with different browsers and OS's? If not, your format suggestion?
Although a simple "click sound" may do, it would be better if I could find a more distinct sound (fast, short duration, small) that might suggest to a user to change his visual focus.
Your sound suggestions or links?
