I will pay $65 to the first person to record at least 30 seconds of a litter of puppies barking, and at least 10 seconds of a single puppy barking. The recording must be high quality, and must be posted to freesound.org. I won't accept just the sound recordings, they have to be posted at freesound.org so that I know for sure that I have the rights to use the sample. Also, they must meet my artistic requirements, and who I pay is at my sole discretion. Email me for more information: plythmiglaptical@gmail.com.
Please note: I have checked out the other samples of dogs barking and puppies on this site, and none of them work. I also did a search on the internet and looked at puppy barking samples for more than an hour, and none of them work. The best sample I found on this site was more of a whine than a bark. I want something a lot more like the Disney movie, the original 101 Dalmatians.
Note: you can reply to this thread too and I will respond, you don't have to email me. But if you want to talk person-to-person, my email is listed above.
These are all whining puppies! I want puppies who bark.
Take a look at around 4:39 in these 101 Dalmatians clips. That's precisely the sound I want: yipping and barking.
Here are some suggestions:
* Check your local humane society.
* Check your local pet shops.
* Check the classifieds.
I live in a very low population area, so I have completely exhausted the first two, and almost exhausted the last one. I called up two local humane societies, and only one has puppies, and, guess what? they don't bark. I sat there with my recorder listening to them just romping around... silent. =P But perhaps you may have better luck.

I want puppies who bark.
That might just work for me. I had thought of it, but I didn't think it would sound very good. A sound recording of real puppies barking would trump this, but if I can't find one, I'll just use this. Thanks.
I don't know about commercial sample CD's. My worry is I would buy one, find out it's not royalty free, and end up throwing it away. Then instead of paying $65, I'd pay $75, and so on until I stop trying to buy sample CDs. I'm a little strapped for cash right now, so I don't want to take risks. I also want this to get done quickly, so I can move on to other things. As long as I stay within budget, if I get what I want, I'll be okay.
