I would really like a sample of an indian Dhol (at least I think that's what it is called). It's definately a percussion instrument from india and it starts quite low and rises in pitch somewhat.
It's used in the "Bhangra" style of folk dance music if that rings any bells...
Try searching for "dholki".
I'm sometimes really frustrated because I really wish freesound had more Indian percussion (there are like 50000 different percussions in each state!)

So true! I know someone who owns a tabla and posted only one sample of it! 
Haha, that's because there are way too many tabla samples here (because apparently that's THE Indian percussion instrument people know about).
RHumpries even has some fantastic rhythms uploaded.
If only I knew how to play tabla, dude, if only!
