I'm after a splatting sort of sound. In this audiodrama, a person throws some seaweed onto a wooden table from about 15 feet away (No, really, it makes sense in the context of the story. Hee.).
I've listened to the samples that come up under "splat" and they're all a bit too wet.
Any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated.
I also thought you could try it with rubber gloves. They will sound heavier and won't have that high frequency 'splashy' sound. Maybe too heavy though, you could add a splashy anyway, but this gives you more freedom to mix the two up, find a balance between body and splashy.
I ended up using a wet washcloth and got just the sound I was after:

Thanks!
Nice, I like the ones like 4, 5 and 6, it's not just one hit, you hear several smaller hits close together, making it sound like multiple loose ends in a bundle.
I combined some of the facecloth sounds ... http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=98187
but the result is not convincing seaweed.
