I'm just wondering what other sites you guys go to (Not including E-mail and E-mail IM services)...
Personally, I'm on Youtube, Battleon, Dragonfable, and I've been a GaiaOnline Member since November 7th, 2004. How about you?
Important Note: Don't come here just to or even SAY anything like "Oh, ______ sucks/fails/<Insert POINTLESS flame here>/etc", because that would be just stupid! Why?
This is a "Whaddaya Play" thread, not a "Be a jerk" one!

Mainly Freesound, Newgrounds, Youtube, Ultimate-Guitar (although the forum is at time disgusting), Wikipedia, YTMND, www.idiotfortier.com (funny videos in french).... I think that's about it.

You're on Youtube? Cool! Mind if I ask your Screen name? My channel is on my signature.

wikipedia, getbent, kvraudio, freesound of course, um... yahoo? whenever I get an email for a request I use myspace, otherwise I almost never go on there... um noisefanatics.com... various cgibins and directories of random websites are in my favorites. I collect midi's.... don't make fun of me... Razz the only thing i really go online for is to download samples and mp3's, harvest random pictures i find, I also like to collect various y////////////ummmmmmmmmmmm... nevermind........................................... nothing that was nothing........... >.>`

yeah, but holy crap, I just realised that I barely spend ANY time online,
as in just surfing the net.... well, yeah i guess not so much anymore, too busy making things!!! PRODUCTIVITY!!! YAAAA!!! NEVER SLEEP!!! I'm working on either homework or noise every weekday, and weekends it's non-stop-glazed-eyes-production-overdrive time.

You guys are introducing me to some terrific sites I never knew existed. I'm here, of course, but I'm trying to build a repertoire of mixed stuff on ccMixter. I'm afraid I spend way too much time reading the news on cnn.com. I've got a movie recommendation. Evidently, there is this extraordinary story behind the Japanese film, Train_man. Are any of you familiar with it? Well, the movie is great. It's out on DVD. Cool

Very good, LS. At least you're being productive. When I tell my friends and family I've fallen in love with a hobby where I collect sounds, upload them to a website, download other sounds, mix them together and upload the mixes to another site, I think they think I'm only slightly more engaged than you are. Laughing But I'm retired. I'm guessing they think this is better than a metal detector on the beach. Of course, if I had a beach, I'd be sailing. Very Happy

Truly, what we have in sound recording, editing, mixing and sharing is an art form. Our surroundings are our subjects. Our microphones are our brushes. Our digital audio workstations are our canvasses. And the freesound project is our gallery. We are very fortunate, indeed.

yes we are.
I often browse Flickr.com to find something related to my work, then I lose myself in admiring random images. so I am browsing Flickr to "see the world" through others' eyes - maybe there is people browsing FreeSound only to "listen to the world" through others' ears/microphones.
we are sharing our collective knowledge and perceptions on the net: Wikipedia, archives of digitalized books, webcams on nature and cities. the net is already a living extension of our mind: in the future it could become an extension of our body, Flickr -and similar- as our collective eye, and FreeSound as our collective ear.

Well put, cajo. Could anyone have imagined just a few years ago what we can do here. How quickly the fantasies of the future become reality! Beam me up, Scotty. Cool

Only website I go to in the original post is YouTube, which is pretty much every day. I need help. Sad Also play Neopets, and use my Facebook all the time. Recently put in the Defense of the Ancients, and can't seem to get enough of it.
