thanks to the help from someone from the IRC channel #php we figured out a way to do "rightclick-save-as" on a sample's download link.
this should help many newbees enjoy! - bram |

you'll probably have to press the mouse while holding the apple key (somewhere near ctrl and alt) and then select from the drop-down menu. |

so.. what's the deal with freesounds. you can only save as a quicktime movie- not a .wav file ?

No, there's apprently a bug in Firefox that won't let you download with right-click properly. If you use a different browser it should be fine.
Apart from that, each sample is different. Some people upload their sounds in wav, some in flac, some in aif... So you can't get all sounds in wav, only those uploaded as wav. If you get a format you can't use, you should convert it using software like Audacity. |
