Hello. First, let me say I've been really impressed with the fact this site exists and that people are willing to help each other out like this. I've got an amateur sci fi animation project I'm working on--nothing fancy, just some animation through Poser for a Flash website. It's sort of like a concept pitch to, hopefully, bigger and better things. There's a few short voice recordings I need. These would be 44khz sample rate. Wav or mp3 is fine, mono or stereo, whatever. As long as there's not a lot of buzz in the background or popping(blowing in the mic)--pretty much the same quality that I've heard people give for other requests on this forum would be wonderful. No need for any processing. I can do that myself. I just can't sound like a bunch of different people :/ I don't need all of these. If I just get one, I'd be happy. I've had family and friends help me, but this project has a lot of characters, and these are the lines I haven't found anyone else to cover.
All should be a standard, west coast American accent for consistency. These lines would all come from different characters, so there's no need for anyone to tackle more than one unless you want to. Ok, here goes the lines.
Young female. Hero character. Should be as if casually meeting someone, not *too* enthusiastic. Just normal with maybe the tiniest hint of caution:
"Hello, you must be Kasha."
Young female. Hero character. Should be calm, as if responding to concern for her.
"You'd be surprised what a person can endure for the hope of freedom."
Young male. Villain character explaining why his work as an assassin is part of the natural order of things. This is an evil sounding line, but it has a maximum level of creepiness the more reasonable it is made to sound, as if murder is sometimes needed or even a good thing. It shouldn't sound too defensive though. This is a powerful(though no tougher than average) character that doesn't need approval.
"Death is the engine of life. There can be no peace without it."
Older male. Hero character / religious leader. Should be calm, as if said to a small group of frightened, religious people in an effort to calm them:
"These are confusing times. Let our compassion and faith in the Creator guide us through them."
Child voice(either gender). Should be said as if speaker was an adult that looked and sounded like a child, responding to people that seem to doubt the child. Not too defensive. The speaker knows the audience will soon trust him or her. This line should sound like it ends the discussion.
"I know, I know. I look too young to be a Priest / Priestess."
Male or Female adult of any age. Hero character of great wisdom. Should be said as if a response to fools who argue with lies and ignorance. Speaker knows arguing further with this group is futile, but shouldn't sound too patronizing, even though the target is getting schooled by this statement. This statement ends the argument.
"The truth exists independently of our ability to understand it."
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Please tell me what was wrong if that samples don't work for you.
Cheers!

Awesome. Thanks a lot for helping me out. I can tweak the volume myself, but do you think you could speak a little louder? Also, since this is an animation project, I'm trying to cut down on sounds of people blowing into the mic when they talk since I'm trying to create the illusion that the characters are talking to the audience rather than into mics. That's why I'm being picky about that.
A big foam mic cover works or a pop screen. Or placing the mic pointing to your mouth, but to the side so you're not breathing directly into it. I've done a couple of the voices(not listed here) myself, and I'm using a cheap $20 dollar headset mic so yeah, your mic's fine.
I really appreciate the help so far.

Ah hell yeah. I was really hoping you'd do the voice for this character. You absolutely nailed exactly what I wanted for this line. Thanks so much.
