Freesound Project

The Mootcher is a opensource programming library which makes it possible to make a connection to The Freesound Project audio database in your own programs. Download, view properties and play the sounds. With the possibility to do 'advanced' searches and the ability to search similar sounds on freesound.

Mootcher Externals

We made 2 externals that wraps the Mootcher library. The externals are made with Flext thanks to Thomas Grill

These files include all features together with help files in easy installers.

C++ API

C++ programmers can use the API source freely under the GNU LGPL license.
In the same package the Flext sourcecode for the mootcher is available. C++ programmers can use that source freely under the GNU GPL (please notice the difference with the API) license.

External library’s

C++ programmers will need to include the following libraries.

• LibcURL – http://curl.haxx.se/
  Open source C library to access online data. (version 7.14.0 used in externals)
• TinyXML – http://sourceforge.net/projects/tinyxml
  Open source C library to parse XML files (version 2.3.4 used in externals)
• LibSnd http://www.mega-nerd.com/libsndfile/
  Open source C library to read and write audiofiles.
  You can also download the source of an experimental LibSnd build with mp3, ogg support: libsndfile-experimental.zip which is also used for the PD and Max externals.
