I'm Pietro Bonanno, Diploma in piano with 10/10 (MA degree), degree in "Music and New Technologies" (BA degree) with 110/110 cum laude with a thesis on the soundscape entitled "L'atmosfera: Il paesaggio sonoro trasversale" [The Atmosphere: a cross soundscape] at the Conservatory "V. Bellini" in Palermo.
Specialized in contemporary music piano following the course of Mauro Castellano, I have improved composition subject thanks to the lessons of Giovanni Damiani, Federico Incardona e Giovanni Sollima; I began studying electroacoustic composition after obtaining the scientific degree, studying the programming language CSound AV with Gabriel Maldonado and the study of the soundscape with Yasuhiro Morinaga and Francisco Lopez.
I played in the Giovanni Sollima Band; released electroacoustic works under the label EssentiaMundi ('Music for Flying Planes', 2008) and TreeTrunk ('EnkeDeu', 2009, 'All the Stones of Our Lives', 2009); participated in the 'Premio Nazionale delle arti, 2009' in Trento, Italy representing the Conservatory of Palermo, with the track 'Flying Planes' and also participated at the Festival 'Terra Fertile', in Sassari, Italy in 2010 with the track 'Scape # 001' ; at the Folkalab laboratory of Palermo, at the festival 'Futurismo che passione' organized by the Teatro Biondo for the centenary of the publication of Marinetti's Futurist Manifesto, at the sounding of some rooms of the Museo Riso (Palermo, June 2010) and at the sounding of the Botanical Garden of Palermo (May 2011).
I have also served the community of Damanhur, participating in the experiments of 'Plant Music' and formed, together with Piersaro Cerami, Manfredi Clemente and Ezio Parisi, the electronic music group Klein Bottle, which is currently working with the Teatro Soggettile for the theatrical season 2011/2012. My music is also present in 'Apegados' documentary by Robert French, 'Loneliness as in twos' Anthony Dinham, for the independent film festival in Edinburgh, in the projects of the group Chimera, with Valentina Butera e Maria Fontana and in those of the russian Xionaspros (Anatoly Czymbalyouk).
