Recording of a number station, allegedly from USAF which transmits regularly at 8992kHz, USB.
Male voice, American English with pronounced echo.
Date and approx time of the transmission (GMT) are given on the filename.
In this recording the number station had just gone silent and I am now listening to 2 French speaking radio operators (incorrect frequency tunning / bandwidth).
After a few minutes of recording I tunned to the exact frequency of the French speakers. Then sudenly, the number station starts transmitting again. It is using the exat same frequency and settings as the French speakers and the number station stronger signal completely drawns them. You can hear then in the background in one or two occasions when the number station has large pauses. then you can just hear them again at the end of the number station transmission.
This recording was made from the Twente university online radio tuner: http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/
