A little dare I am running with user gis_sweden.
The challenge was to create a sound where 2 oscillators cross-modulate each other.
gis_sweden will use his modular synth. I will use my virtual modular synth Kamiooka.
You can hear gis_sweden's sound here:

My sound looks very interesting if you change the display mode to spectral.
For this sound, I micro-adjusted the parameters to really zoom on the region of cross-modulation values that produce an interesting sound: I was really interested in the region where the sound transitions from stable to chaotic.
The parameters I have used:
2 sin oscillators
cross-modulate each other (FM)
Cross-modulation ramps up linearly from 46.5% to 47.725% during 20 bars at 120bpm
Created with Kamiooka in Ableton Live
Sound converted to mono in Audacity. No effects or processing.
