A sound designer/audio engineer of over 80 plays, Jims' credits include the recent Borderlands Theater productions of "No Roosters in the Desert," and "Oedipus El Rey," original music and design for "Nickel and Dimed" and "Lidless" and was a 2005 Zonie Award nominee for sound design of "Men On The Verge 2."
Jim designed sound and composed for 23 seasons of Tucson Shakespeare Under The Stars. He has been the music director of "A Tucson Pastorela" since 2007 and played Lucifer in the 2010 and 2011 productions. In 2011 Jim played Judge Turpin in the Arizona Onstage production of "Sweeney Todd" at the Tucson Temple of Music and Art and was part of the ensemble cast of "Head" at Beowulf Theater.
An alumnus of the Tucson Boys Chorus, Jim has performed in the Arizona Opera Company chorus, music cast of Old Tucson Studios and composes and performs in the Arnold/Klingenfus Ensemble.
His live sound engineering credits include over 100 concerts with the Tucson Pops Orchestra and numerous blues,jazz and Latin music festivals.
