I wanted to listen to this in hopes of proving a point to myself.
For some reason we humans seem to like things in threes. Sometimes when writing, for example, I find myself searching for a third adjective -- just for the rhythm. I wondered if there is something about a three-beat 'measure' (i.e. waltz time) that is naturally appealing. It has a flow, a surge and rest, in a manner that 2/4 and 4/4 rhythms don't enjoy.
The lub-dub, lub-dub rhythm in the heartbeat certainly comes across to me as beating in ¾ time, the harmony with that rather basic fact of life being perhaps the source of our pleasure with things in threes.
This is my first experience with freesound. The C-130's over fly our home almost daily. but I don't have any recording equipment to capture that deep resonant sound that the four T-56 Allisons generate.
