Hey there, Benboncan! We used this great sound for our latest project, a Star Wars fan film! You'll hopefully be able to recognize it when the Protagonist uses force speed near the end. Thanks so much! Here’s the link: https://youtu.be/q7hbkH1CBfI
I know that this is six years too late, but would you post something a little less processed? The noise cancelling and threshold filters are so dominant, that I'm struggling to see how I could use this for anything other than a layered, muted addition to an existing recording. Still, thanks for taking the initiative so long ago to make this site the great thing it has become.
I've had occasion to find the sound of "machinery starting up" and all I've ever found have been old-time elevators which are beautiful in their own right. I liked this sound simply for the opening two seconds of startup. I could turn the rest of it into a low-pitch rumble and throw all kinds of stuff on top. With a minute of sound, it's perfect for background and should be easy to loop if I want it longer.
So many wind recordings turn into artifacts of the recording equipment. You obviously took some effort to keep that from happening and it really shows. Nice recording. I wish I could find rain recordings that had this many ups and downs, calm and intense, yet crystal clear.
Nice work. Saving this for when I need a windy day.
