I set my binarual mics on either side of a large barrel and left them for about 90 minutes. This was recorded in my parents back yard, which is in rural eastern Ohio. There are lots of birds around and various scuffling sounds, and some insects buzzing past, as well as some human sounds, planes, cars, etc. Recorded with the Sound Professional binaural mics into a Zoom H4.

Thank you :D
Superb ! Thank you very much
Superb recording. Love that it's long. Great ambiance, and binaural effect is totally there. Feels like taking some time off on a farm would sound like.
Just wonder what's that distant reverbed engine whining, like at 15:30 - 16:30... Is a motorbike? Or more likely a chainsaw? Not sure...
Anyways thanks for sharing!
Thanks for a great recording. There certainly is a lot to work with.
I thought it worth sharing that it did have me jump out of my skin. I was listening quite loudly and intensely and then an insect flies suddenly close by. It amused me after I realised the insect was in the recording at 1:15:44 and not in my room. Testament to the quality.
Best backyard recording I've ever heard. Not only do you get a little of just about (dogs, birds, planes) everything, it's crystal clear.
Thanks for mentioning you used a Zoom H4. I've never heard of Zoom (yes, I live under a rock...lol). If I ever decide to do some recording, that's is what I'll get. Thanks
