This is a sound I synthesized using ZynAddSubFX. I had to keep it around after I accidentally created it while playing around. It sounded a lot like this noise in the game series known as "Myst" specifically it reminds me of the sounds in "Riven" (the sequel to Myst) when you travel through books. If you played the game that will all make sense and if not and you are really bored and like puzzles those are amazing games :-)
