While going from Genoa to Sicily with a ferry, I recorded the drones of the engines at different locations with a Zoom H1. Afterthat I increased a stereo basis by converting Stereo to MS and vice versa and mixing a low level of each inverted channel to the opposite channel. Useful for ambient backgrounds.
