Superb recording! I have three of these tractors; 1937 35hp, 2x1950 50hp.On the soundtrack, just before the tractor drives away you hear a slight clunk/clunk. This is the gear being selected. The Lanz gear pattern is unique as it is a H pattern on its side. This is necessary due to the arrangement of the engine crank running across the tractor. The power flow does not have to turn through 90 degrees as in a conventional arrangement. The power flow is transmitted through gears directly(through a clutch)from the crankshaft to the differential. The clunk/clunk sound is the gearstick being moved sideways to select first gear.
All of these tractors from Erdies 19hp to my 50hp are the same 10200cc single cylinder capacity, all that varies is the fuel delivery and government systems and other mods that were instigated over the lifespan of the series.
As my 1937 N model is currently under restoration this sound track is a wonderful motivator to finish the task and hear it run again. Thanks Erdie!!
