This whip effect is made up of two elements - the whoosh sound is a USB direct link cable twirled in the air. The Pop is a shortened recording of a BlackCat small firecracker - both recorded with a Sony ECM-99 Stereo microphone to SonyMD. No effects were added, other than to increase the volume, and fade out some of the room noise around the whip sounds.
