I recorded this on April 6, 2008 in the woods outside my house on Camano Island, Washington. A large pond is home to thousands of little green frogs, who sing like this for about a month every Spring. The recorder was a Zoom H2, and I used Audacity to trim the handling noises at beginning and end, fade in and out, and export to FLAC level 9. This is my first sound contributed to Freesound.

Thanks for the comment! Yes, they are insanely loud... they dominate the night and are even audible indoors through double-pane windows and a well-insulated house. Sometimes the Great Horned Owls join in, calling to each other through the woods. I lived there for 13 years, but just sold the place and am now moving aboard a sailboat... should be some fun field recordings ahead (I also have a hydrophone).
