Some people think this just sounds like any water running. To me it's what it was - a beautiful babbling mountain stream. Recorded in the Pyrenees, France in August 2002. Sony MZ-R3 MD and ECM-MS907 mic. I was standing in the stream, capturing 2 water flows coming around both sides of a rock.

I frequently use this sound in a loop to get my baby to sleep. It works very well. THANK YOU. Maybe I'll try reading him the Psalm as well.

Yes indeed, it was near Gavarnie ... I've forgotten the exact valley name. And yes, I have looped this sample myself up to 4m30s for a track for a song (actually a setting of Psalm 23).

very clean and relaxing. Larger streams often make me nervous but this one is the right size, it says 'peace'. And can be looped!! :-) Judging from the geotag you recorded it near Gavarnie, didn't you? Love the place.
