How not to treat your recording gear! I had set up my gear in the garden to record birds etc. You can hear my wife say "You had better be ready to bring your microphone in" - as it looked like rain. I ignored her, forgot about the gear and the rain and went indoors. Birds sing, a plane goes over, a motorbike goes by, flies buzz about, then the rain and wind start! The rain gets heavier and big drops plop on the mic itself. Eventually the wind blew the mic stand over, pulling the mic cable out of the recorder resulting in silence. I later retrieved and dried off the gear, which still works fine! (And Heigh-hoo worries about humidity in Japan!)

I just played it and was about to turn it off (thinking to myself ''just another ambience''), but then i read the story and wanted to hear the mic fall down ;D 10/10

Cool how the drops hitting the mic kinda sounds like a drum.

Sounds errily familiar to where I live in Texas. Good quality! So relaxing. Really makes a person pay more attention to sounds and appreciate their home.
