Why is there a band of no apparent data around 2kHz, ±.1 kHz?

(not sure if your recorder allows you to record in WAV format instead of mp3, if it's possible it will be even more reach in subtil harmonics I think.

hi - what does this mean please: "dolphins at half speed"? the recording slowed down or slow dolphins? i love the sounds and would like to do something with it.
