Some undefined water birds hiding in the reed, betraying their presence by twittering away while the wind plays the reed heavily. Towards the end of the recording the reed sounds really crispy and brittle.
This recording was made with a Sanken CS3-e shotgun mic on a Roland R-26 in the afternoon of 14th of July 2014 in Desteldonk (Ghent). Editing was done in Reaper. No compression has been applied. Low frequencies beneath ca. 300Hz have EQ-ed out in order to bring out the detail of the high frequencies.
