This recording documents wind moving through the leaves of the northernmost deciduous hardwood, Balsam Poplar (Populus balsamifera). The grove was located along Dry Creek, which flows past Healy, Alaska, USA. The leaves make a platy rattling sound that is mostly composed of high frequencies.
