Foghorns recorded early winter morning 2007. MXL condenser into Tascam Porta002 metal film cassette tape recording. Nice, warm analog sound. You can hear snow flakes hitting the mic's pop screen.

Hi Thanks for this, I ma putting together a sound piece for an installation called 'LAST STATION located & dislocated' of peoples maritime fog stories. The work is inspired by the history of the manned Light Vessels

Hi, I recorded this on the island of North Haven, Maine facing north towards Camden/Rockport. It was likely a combination of some small freighters and ferries crossing the Penobscot Bay. Glad it was used for your project.

Can you tell me where this was recorded? I'm doing a piece for Jack Hertz's "Gog Music" series that uses a time stretched version of this sample, and I'm trying to establish the provenance of all the foghorns.
