In June we had a very rare (for us) middle-of-the-night thunderstorm which woke us up at 4AM. I grabbed my recording setup and stuck the mic out the window on a pole (which reminds me I need to start using a wood pole instead of metal during thunderstorms :-). About 60 seconds later, we experienced this massive thunderclap, which was very close and shook the house. The only editing I did was to normalize it as there was a little bit of clipping. I will post more of this storm here later.

Really good sound! I sampled this for a nature kit on my MPC 1000. It only features 16 MB onboard, so the sound will be in mono, but this sure will come handy. Thanks!
