This is the entire sequence of sounds of a Canon MV100 digital video camera opening and then closing its Mini DV cassette door. Complex! Great Japanese engineering. Sound Professionals SP-TFB-2 Binaural Microphones (laid on desk) > Edirol R-09 (mic in, level 10) > 16 bit 44.1 kHz wav.

The camera was recorded with binaurals (almost) in contact with the camera. Lowering the volume or and or doing some EQ/filter adjustments will smooth things out, Audacity is a great open-source audio editor if you need something with a good feature-set for audio editing.

Been looking for this sequence of sounds and happy to finally find it. Am surprised by the "aggressive" quality of the sound though.
