Soundwalk from next to river Douro to the flea market that is held every Saturday morning at Alameda das Fontainhas in Porto. Traffic noise in the beginning, then soon the market stands begin to edge the way. Ambient noise of a people talking in Portuguese. In the background still traffic from far away. Music playing from small radios (e.g. 3:13, 5:50). Seagulls flying by. Things are unpacked from plastic bags and paper (round 4:00). From 6:20 on more traffic noise again from the nearby bridge (Ponte do Infante). From 7:20 on recorded under the bridge that crosses the market place in one point: more echo and some thudding drum-like noises in the background caused by the cars that cross the bridge. Birds singing in the trees. From 10:15 you hear a train rattling on the rails that come out of a tunnel that runs under the market. Some light hiss noise on the recording and also some small disturbance from accidentally touching the microphone cable from time to time. Recorded with Roland Edirol R-09 digital recorder and Edirol CS-15 cardioid-type stereo microphone.
