The sound of yew trees creeking in a moderate wind on the North Downs in Surrey. These trees took the full force of the wind during the 1987 hurricane, several ash trees still remain upturned, but alive, the side branches now devoloped into trees around 15 feet high. Towards the end of the recording I turn to record a Grey Squirrel which came to check me out, the noise of it running up the bark close by is not noticeable above the wind and creeking.
