Varnam is a compositional form of Carnatic music, rich in melodic nuances. This is a recording of a varnam, titled Vanajakshiro, composed by Ramnad Srinivasa Iyengar in Kalyani raaga, set to Adi taala. It is sung by Ramakrishnamurthy, a young Carnatic vocalist from Chennai, India.
