Siamese cat engaging in conversation. Recorded with Sennheiser MKE 300 directional electret condenser mic on DV camcorder. Some amplification (to -12 dB) and noise removal, which seems to have been useful for this particular sample.

  my cats totally flipped wondering where the cat was....the female's trying to figure out where the recording was to help him out or something. After this I played the cat fight one, both of them were bushing up so bad and started making weird growling sounds and pacing around the computer. Ha ha they're fine now though...but hiding

  You can fake out people, too. When I was playing this and other meow sounds from freesound, several people came down the hall to my office looking to see if there was a kitty on the loose.

  Yeah, I've had the same reactions from cats when I play cat meowing sounds. Makes you wonder what they're saying, doesn't it?
