This is wonderful as it is, as you say, a rare thing to witness never mind be able to record. While it is great to have the complete event here I think you should edit this down into some smaller sections as it is a huge file which will deter a lot of people from downloading. Great upload though!
Beautiful, impressive recording indeed. And amazingly clean, did you filtered out low freqs in some way during post, or was it naturally this clean? At 6 min I can hear wing fluttering (and a plane overheading at 7 min), but other than that there is no background hum noise so I'm at a loss. And the gear you used has no low-cut filters to my knowledge. Then?
Terrific! And the rumble of traffic is barely audible, which makes me zealous (this recording would be impossible in noisy Sevilla). Wanted to let you know: I looked at this file in an editor and it seems your capsules are slightly unmatched, the right one yields about 2 dB less output.... just like my own WL183. I often need adding this gain in post to get the original stereo image :-(
You've beaten the record, no wav-file bigger than this one on freesound, I guess! My challenge was to be the first to download, I hope not to be the only. Well since free time became rather limited for me in this spring, You gave me the chance to listen to that wonderful dawn chorus. Thanx for sharing!
