a sound design for fire, flaring up, burning flame, conflagration. based on processing of the same recorded material used for sample fireMX4.aif . some of the sound material was processed with a set of bandpass filters controlled by LFOs and then modulated with filtered white noise and some chaotic noise functions. other sound material from the recordings was processed with several waveshaping abstractions in PD and modulated with filtered feedback. to model the sound characteristics of a burning flame, i chained together several distortion and 'decimation' effects (bit depth modulation, sample rate reductions, etc.).
