Kinder Downfall is a waterfall on the western edge of the
Kinder Scout plateau where water from the large expanse of peat bog
flows (trickles) off, and it is very rare that there is no wind - often
the waterfall is blown upward into a large cloud of spray for hours at
a time. Kinder is the highest place for many miles in any direction.
Here
is almost 40 seconds (!) of it in all its (lack of) glory with no wind
at all. A flock of pigeons fly by at around 30 secs. and there's the
noise of an aircraft.
The plateau was shrouded in low cloud blowing in from the east. Soundman binaurals/Minidisc Walkman.
