April 2004, early evening. Birds in the garden of a house near the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield UK. Recorded with Soundman binaural mics on a Minidisc Walkman. Mics were in-ear. There is some hiss which may be due to the A-D converter in the recorder?

Hi, I downloaded this for a short video piece I made. The video was selected for exhibition in Limerick city earlier this year. Thanks, couldn't have finished it without this great backing sound.

Just the thing, hope to use it in Scene 3 in Episode 15 of Ad Astral “The Patron Saint of Domestic Appliances” due out in February. Credits will be in the shownotes.
Many, many thanks.

The hiss is almost always due to the mic preamps. Home recorders (and a lot of professional grade ones) have very high levels of hiss in the mic pres, especially with mics that require a bit more gain. Thanks for the recording, just what I needed btw.

.
It's what I want for a background in
my home. What made me want to download
the track is the sounds, but also they
are far off in the distance. It is that
effect.
Thanks for the sounds.
