this is a recording on the FM band below 87 MHz. It's picked up with DXtuners.com's radio receiver (the days before they shut down, RIP), and recorded with SoundForge via the microphone input and played from a EMU 0404 USB soundcard at 16 bit 44KHz samplerate and converted to to OGG with OGGDROP. In the background you can hear some music channel or similar playing a jazz tune or something. It is recorded if I remember correctly from the southern parts of Sweden.

Anyone know what band or song is playing in the background?

What data transmissions are they? And yes it would be cool if you could record these transmissions in a better quality.

This is a recording of the swedish packet data network "Mobitex" operated by Telia (1200bps, FFSK). The frequency is around 75 MHz.
I live in Sweden and I own a receiver capable of tuning to this part of the band, so if anyone is interested I can probably make a better recording of these data transmissions.
