This is a Bissell Pro-Heat 2X carpet cleaner vacuum being turned on, run for a few seconds, and then turned off. The middle part can be looped to make it run as long as you need it to. It was recorded with a JVC GZ-mG35U camcorder on a tripod about two feet above the vacuum motor. I post-processed the sample using GoldWave. During post-processing, I increased the volume of the switch sounds (both on and off) to make them more noticeably. I also used a time-warp process to lengthen the time of the power-down cycle.

Very nice. Quite useful for things like jet engine FX, or in my case, i shall be use it as NOS effect for a car engine (after reversing the sample and do some editing).
